As you’re reading this I am currently in Phoenix, Arizona filling my brain with all the micro-needling education goodness the world has to offer…or something like that.
If I’ve seen you in the last few months, you have most likely heard me mention micro-needling, and the benefits it has to offer.
So, what is micro-needling?
Collagen induction Therapy (CIT), also know as micro-needling, is a minimally invasive skin-rejuvenating procedure that involves the use of a device that contains fine needles.
The needles are used to puncture the skin to create a controlled skin injury. Each puncture creates a channel that triggers the body to fill these microscopic wounds by producing new collagen and elastin.
Through the repair process, there is visible improvement in skin texture and firmness, as well as reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks.
Fun Fact: When you turn 25 years old, your collagen goes dormant (which is why you begin to see the signs of aging.) This is the only proven treatment to stimulates BOTH collagen type 1 & 3 for up to TWO YEARS!
Stayed tuned for FAQ about micro-needling in my next post.
